Rap Game is Like Playing 2K

Here is a concept that people don’t seem to understand so I will break it down in terms I believe most people can. Sadly I have a bunch of people who quit music years ago attempting to tell me what music will last and the way the game should be. They never listen when I tell them how the game is and that their visions have long since lost relevency. You would think people would pay attention to the guy who has never stopped his pursuit in music and listening to it everyday but ofcourse not, everyone knows everything. Honestly these types of people are why I stopped trying to help people around me because they simply are lost.

Think of it this way, if you haven’t played NBA 2k since 2k08 how could you expect to defeat people who have put in the work on the previous years 2k? Over the years there has been settle changes in that games engine and many things that once worked will not in the later variations. Time has changed that game, how you shoot to how you run plays all have been dramatically altered to the point if you haven’t followed for years then its not the same game. Your feelings that the game was better in 2008 has nothing to do how people are playing it and winning it right now. You will need to adapt and learn the new game for what it is instead of pleading to the publishers to go backwards just to comply with your feelings. Until you do that you will not win a single game and odds are give up again.

Realize that NBA 2k is the rap game. It is no longer what it was in the 90’s or when ever you felt it was right. Just because you don’t like the game doesn’t mean others are wrong for playing it as it is today and winning at it. The record labels aren’t going to create a mandate to take music backwards when some of these acts you hate on are going platnium with records like 21 Savage, Lil Yachty, and Rae Sremmurd. Personally I don’t like their music but I see kids do and I see enough units being sold to justify it. But here is the key, your brand of music died out in the commercial game long ago. What makes you think you are going to reverse time when have no clue how to play the game, don’t know the quality rappers, and don’t have the support of anyone to do such? Sadly most of you are on a fools errand.

The moral to this story is that most of you aren’t serious enough about music to be part of it. This is why you quit in the first place. Your hate towards todays music is not going to justify you or open an opportunity for your return. How can you win a game that you don’t know how to play? The game has changed over the years and your beliefs from years ago aren’t going to play how you think. If you want this then you must learn and adapt with the times but still be unique to yourself. Sadly people still wont listen.
